As social workers, we are often immersed in a climate of uncertainty. We are faced with new and difficult situations that do not exactly recall the examples studied in theory, nor our previous experiences. We often have doubts, do not know what direction to take or how to move. We face uncertainty every day.
In the HOOD project, we understood that uncertainty is not a sign of our incompetence, but is an inescapable feature of social work. It is precisely the recognition of this uncertainty that is one of the fundamental theoretical premises of Altervision, a peer support approach that we came to know thanks to Professor Luigi Gui.
